Testimonials

My name is Greg Allen from Duluth GA.

I've only just met Tim and all others while attending the March 2011 Quail hunt and I would like to personally thank Tim along with everyone else for an absolute wonderful time. The property owned by Cat Creek Outfitters was first rate as was the facility’s; I was impressed to say the least.  I met new friends and had a great time hunting with them for a game bird that I didn't think I would ever get to hunt again! The last time I had hunted quail was when I was a teen back in the 1970's, I forgot how much fun Quail hunting was and even forgot and missed the sound of fluttering wings, for me the hunt brought back old memory’s I thought I had forgotten   Thank you Tim and everyone for a great time..

"I had a great time hunting with Talon Outdoors. I got to meet
people from different walks of life, and hear them recount their
experiences. I enjoyed working with the disabled shooters. It is much
more interesting to hunt with Talon than just with my dad. The
operation that Mr. Tim runs is great and he is very dedicated to
helping other people. I take pleasure in having the ability to work
with organizations like this, and it helps me develop into a much more
well-rounded person."

"Getting involved with Talon Outdoors has truly been a fantastic
experience for my family and me.  My son is 13 and is just getting
interested in hunting.  Being part of Talon Outdoors events has given
him the opportunity to participate in several types of hunting and
outdoors activities he would most likely would not have seen.  After
each event, I can see that he is more interested in becoming a skilled
outdoorsman .  More importantly, he has had an opportunity to
experience how giving to others can be more rewarding than just being
concerned about himself.  He has had the opportunity to meet a variety
of abled and disabled hunters and to share funny stories, fellowship
and the love of the outdoors with them.  I feel grateful and blessed
that we have had such wonderful experiences with Mr. Tim Keller and
his Talon Outdoors organization's "passion to serve."  I hope we can
continue to be an active participant in the future and help Talon
Outdoors reach even more people."

I was a volunteer at a quail hunt on Jan. 22nd, 2011 with Talon Outdoors. if you ever have the opportunity to get involved in any way, I highly recommend it. It's amazing how GOD works and puts people together for reasons we're not sure of at the time. But I will tell you I was truly blessed to be a part of this hunt and honestly be inspired by the disabled hunters we were with. Thanks to Talon Outdoors for this opportunity for something good in my life!!!!

Brian, you will be missed!, 12/27/1976 - 4/14/2011
Talon Outdoors under the leadership of Tim Keller has been a huge inspiration to me and my son.   I remember the times as a kid dove and quail hunting with my grandfather.   It was memories that will last a lifetime.   I remember the stories that he an his friends told much more than even the hunting.  The time away from everything was precious to me.

Now, as an adult with Cystic Fibrosis, I have not had many opportunities to develop those kinds of memories wth my son as it is sometimes difficult to find time and resources to go hunting.   This is where the help of Tim Keller and Talon Outdoors comes in as they have helped my son and I hunt dove, quail, and deer together.

Tim has shown great patience with us as I have tried to kill my first deer as my son has told me, "Dad, I want a deer on my wall".    I wanted to get a deer for him and we have tried to get one for the past 3 years.  Early one October morning this fall, Tim and I sat in a tree stand in search of this elusive first deer.   The trouble for me is that I cough all the time with my lung condition so it makes it hard to get close enough for good shot.   Therefore, this time, I decided to take some Cherry Halls cough drops.  I know most of you would say that would be the end of my hunt (just as Tim did).   We got on into the stand and detrmined our wind direction.   We figured down wind was a sure "No Go" with the cherry halls.   We sat there for about an hour and I asked Tim to look downwind since we hadn't seen anything on the other 3 sides.   To our shock, there he was broadside about 80 yards.   Tim decided to see how big hed was with his binoculars but in my excitement I shot the 8 point first.   We are now getting the deer mounted and have started enjoying the meat.

Thanks so much Talon for this wonderful experience!

I served in the United States Marine corps for 10 yrs, was injured 6 times and became disabled and discharged. Upon being discharged I refused to stop working and worked for the state of georgia, in law enforcement untill my conditions became worse and was told by the VA to stop working before i was parlized. I have to this date had 72 surgerys on my knees, left and right sholders, back , neck, and eyes. i am sometimes confined to a wheel chair, but try and use walking sticks and canes.

Talon Outdoors was a Godsend to me, because I had just about given up on enjoying any type of activity and had decided that I was just going to have to live my life watching TV. Sometimes I don"t think Tim Keller realizes what he has created, I through him have not only have been able to enjoy the outdoors again but, have made alot of friends, some disabled and some that are there to support the program.  But Tim also lets me get involved in helping, which to me means more sometimes that the activities because it lets me feel like i am contributing something or giving something back and i don't feel as usless as i use to. This is a great program, i can only hope and pray that it continues, hopefuly for ever, as i have watched what i like to call Tim's 10 thousand smiles across the faces of people that have been forgotten and lost in lifes shuffle.

Thank's  Tim

Talon Outdoors has provided me with several opportunities to get out and enjoy the outdoors. These outings were made possible because of Tim Keller.  I have the upmost respect for Tim, the volunteers and land owners and their unselfishness to help others like myself attend such meaningful and  fun events. Everyone works together to provide the spaces and places for the disabled who may not be able to experience  the outdoors otherwise.  Last year I attended a skeet shoot, as well as a dove, quail and turkey hunt. All events were exciting and just a lot of fun. This year I attended another quail hunt accompanied by my father.  This was the first time we've been in the woods together since my ATV accident sixteen years ago. Volunteers loaded me up in the golf cart and away we went with our guide.  Watching the trained dogs search and point out the birds was amazing. I was fortunate to make some good shots and take home several birds, along with great memories. Dad and I shared some special times together while doing something that I loved. Talon Outdoors made it happen for me and can for you too. If you’re disabled or no someone disabled, I encourage you to get in contact with Tim and experience the great outdoors again for yourself or friends and family members.  Come join us on our next adventure. I'll be there.

Hi my name is Marcus Rogers.
I have been a part of every event with Tim & Talon Outdoors the past 2 years.  I was born with Spina Bifida and i have a hard time getting around. I grew up hunting with my grandpa but about ten years ago he couldn't hunt anymore and
so i had to stop as well.

Tim & Talon Outdoors has opened up that door once again to allow me to get out & hunt and enjoy the outdoors again, so if you are out there and you have a disability but love the outdoors then give us a try we would love to have you out there with us. We have plenty of volunteers
who would love to help you in any way.

   My name is Del Glenn.

I grew up in Tennessee outside of Nashville,
until I took over the farm.  All the time my Dad and Grandpa took me hunting and fishing to teach me about respecting nature.

After my Dad died and Grandpa got too old, I went on my own and I joined the Air Force. Most of the places I went
to I couldn't hunt, sometimes fish but not both.  After I get injured on duty, I was not able to get in the
outdoors by myself.

After Tim and Talon Outdoors found me,  I have only missed one hunt because of family problems.  Without Talon Outdoors, I wouldn't be able to get back into nature and closer to God and His wonders.  If I don't get a shot, I just am so happy and blessed to be outdoors again.
